Accessible Bathroom Adaptation, Westward Ho!
At Home Solutions SW, we believe that every bathroom should support independence without compromising on comfort or style. For Mr and Mrs H in Westward Ho!, this project was about future-proofing their home and maintaining confidence in daily routines. Having already enjoyed the benefits of an adapted en-suite wet room, they chose to upgrade their main bathroom to better suit their long-term mobility needs.
Designed for Safety, Comfort and Independence
From the initial survey through to installation, our team worked closely with the couple to create an accessible shower room with both practicality and elegance. Key features included:
- Level-access showering for barrier-free entry
- A wheelchair-friendly layout for easy movement
- Slip-resistant flooring to reduce fall risks
- Accessible fixtures and fittings designed for ease of use
The end result is a calm, spacious environment that promotes independence and confidence every day.
A Personal Touch: Bringing the Outdoors In
A standout feature of this project was the bespoke shower wall inspired by a local Westward Ho! sunset photo taken by photographer Stephen Ring. Working with Showerscape, specialists in custom shower panels, we were able to incorporate this imagery into the room — creating a stunning focal point that makes the space feel warm, uplifting and deeply personal.
