New Bathroom Adaptation, Ilfracombe

A recent project in Ilfracombe covered by a Disabled Facilities Grant from North Devon Council. The proposed adaptation was deemed 'necessary and appropriate' to meet the needs of the resident, allowing them to reman in their home.

The resident, Mrs R, had multiple mobility issues which was meaning that using the bathroom was becoming increasingly challenging. Mrs R was struggling to access the existing bath, so a level access shower was the proposed solution.

For this project we stripped out all of the existing bathroom fixtures and fitting and had to lower part of the floor to facilitate the level access shower. We replaced the existing tiles and added water-tight altro safety flooring. We installed a new toilet, basin, shower and half-height folding shower screens. The shower was fully adjustable and we installed a folding shower seat to help with safe and easier showing.

Our team undertook all of the work including the rip out, plumbing , electrics , flooring and tiling.
