New Bathroom Adaptation, Braunton
A recent project in Braunton covered by a Disabled Facilities Grant from North Devon Council. The proposed adaptation was deemed 'necessary and appropriate' to meet the needs of the resident, allowing them to reman in their home.
The resident, Mrs A, had multiple mobility issues which was meaning that using the bathroom was becoming increasingly challenging. The existing shower was over the bath which meant that Mrs A was struggling to access either.
The solution we proposed was to remove the existing bath and to replace it with a level access shower. We also replaced the existing toilet and wash basin with height appropriate sanitary ware and added grab rails throughout. We fitted a Mira accessible shower fitted at an height to aid usability for Mrs A, there was a folding chair installed with the shower.
Out team undertook all of the work themselves including the rip out, plumbing , electrics , flooring and tiling.
